FALL Newsletter

It was an action-packed summer at Dancing Creek! We ran 5 weeks of day camp including 3 weeks in partnership with Oxford-Elgin Child and Youth Centre. Next summer we are very excited to introduce a Leadership Training component to our day camp. This will be for 13-15 year olds who want some experience with adventure leadership and may be future Dancing Creek counselors! We will let you know in the early part of 2010 what the dates for camp will be.

Paul and his brother installed some beautiful windows in the barn this summer. This brings Dancing Creek a few steps closer to being a warm year-round facility!

Another exciting development is the opening of “Retreat to the Creek”. This is our Bed and Breakfast accommodations for yoga or creative retreats. There are dormitory sleeping arrangements for 14 people. It is beautiful and you can view photos on our website. Give us a call to book your retreat.

Speaking of our website, you will notice some changes. Very soon you will be able to download DC forms, view our DVD and even order some fancy new Dancing Creek t-shirts at www.dancingcreek.ca

Thank you all so much for your business this season. Don’t forget about the benefits of a fall team-building session for classrooms or staff groups. It is a fabulous time of year to make the trip to the country! Paul also has a truck load of portable initiatives to bring to your site any time of the year for the “Dancing Creek Comes to You.”

A great opportunity to participate in an activity with your child, get some exercise and have some fun! Each week Paul Donelan will lead the group of parent/child pairs through adventures on the challenge course and facilitate a climbing experience for the adult and child. Refresh your climbing skills, learn something new or come and support your child’s climbing interest. All levels and ages (5yrs plus) are welcome.

Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm.

The eight week session begins on September 14- November 9 (no class on Thanksgiving Monday.)

The cost is $100 (+GST) for each pair.

Come and learn the basics or advance your skills of this combination between dance and gymnastics. It doesn’t matter whether you are learning how to do a cartwheel or perfecting an aerial, competitive dancer Jordalyn Matos and her mother Carla will assist you and put it all to music!

Both classes are for boys and girls age 5-14yrs.
